SELF-ESTEEM - Pia Mellody

I came across Pia Mellody earlier this year and her pioneering therapy and background at The Meadows (renowned treatment center for substance use disorders, mental health issues, and trauma).
Born out of her own struggles and suffering, Pia created 'The Meadow Model' in the 1970s and has spent thousands of hours interviewing and working out healing strategies with patients focused on childhood trauma, developmental issues and codependence.
I love her approach to SELF-ESTEEM she shares in this video which everyone can benefit from.
Aside from her amazing insights her delivery is so comforting and cool. It's an older video and she reminds me of watching an 80s Melanie Griffith! :
"Self-steem is the internal awareness of one's preciousness."
"When it comes to self-esteem or self-love you're either doing it or not doing it. Self-esteem is either in existence or it isn't, you're either valuing yourself or you're not. It cannot be raised up and down, it's a constant. It's about being mindful that when you were born you came into the world with all the value you needed and that value is equal to anybody else's value."
Please share with anyone you feel might benefit from her wisdom ❤️🙏
