THE BASICS

With all the technological advancements that are supposed to make our lives easier, it's ironic we're all busier and busier, more overloaded, distracted and unhealthier than EVER.

Back to the basics people!

Take control of yourself and start implementing the 'AMAZING 7' SIMPLE ACTIONS for optimum health TODAY! :

(I'll be expanding on each of the AMAZING 7 so watch for new links).

1. HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES - EAT CLEAN!

(Most of this is obvious but there's still a lot of hidden information, I'll be sharing suggestions and recommends soon that are working for my family, thankfully we rarely go to the doctor :)

2. EXERCISE -

Aerobic / Sports, Strength Training, Yoga, Squats, Lunges, Kettlebell, Swimming, Elliptical, Solo Dance Party At Home etc! Whatever you prefer, just choose SOMETHING and START (and make it regular/consistent). If you already have a great routine go you :)

3. GOOD SLEEP - Very important, more to come on this. 

(I'm writing this at 4am and my kids get up at 7am, I need to work on this!!)

4. LOVE - Giving / Receiving / Sharing - 100% FREE!

Scientific research has shown that LOVE in its many forms; romance, children, family members, friends, strangers (kindness and compassion), pets etc, has PROFOUND EFFECTS on physical, mental and emotional well being. So don't forget this one just because it's free and second nature, IT'S AMAZING! ❤️

5. LAUGHTER -

Ideally in person with friends and family but don't worry if you don't have either - watch comedies on TV or listen to comedic podcast hosts banter to boost your spirits and make you feel like you're in the room and less alone 😊

6. MEDITATION + Quiet Reflective Time -

Unplug and sink into the NOW and being fully PRESENT wherever you are. The miracle of life continuously unfolds around you. Find the STILLNESS and SILENCE. Deep breaths, be calm and connect within. Discover YOU. There are many different styles of meditation, from mindfulness to guided, body healing to transcendental, yoga to breathwork and zen. Walking meditations to making a conscious effort, moment to moment, to observe and quiet the incessant chatty mind. Cultivate AWARENESS and FEEL ALIVE. Look around and see the beauty and magic in all things, this can be practiced anywhere and at any time, even during a daily noisy commute. Meditation and quiet time resources to follow 🙏

7. REDUCE THE USE OF TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES -

Start developing a realistic plan and I will here too as it's an extremely worrying and accelerating chronic addiction epidemic that is frying all our brains (literally), affecting relationships, attention spans, child development from reduced eye contact with parents and loved ones, sets an unhealthy example to the youth as well as lots of deteriorating health impacts. Sorry to be a downer but lets be honest here, the slippery slope has surpassed teflon...

BACK TO THE POSITIVE! You are all AMAZING and I KNOW you can easily check off this list (and get started on number 7), so LET'S GET TO IT! 🚀
